Rosebank College

The Brief

Rosebank College celebrated its Sesquicentenary (150 years) in 2017 and to celebrate the occasion they wanted to have a documentary produced that captured the colleges origins, stories, achievements and milestones that have lead to where the college is today. The documentary would be launched alongside the recently published book “Rosebank College – Sursum Corda” . The documentary was also to featured at the colleges official celebration event at the ICC Grand Ballroom, Sydney and played in 5 different sections throughout the evenings proceedings.

The Solution

We spent one week in pre production with the the team from Rosebank College who gave us unvetted access to the colleges museum, archives and historic material as well as current facilities, Principal, onsite Archivist, School Historian and alumni. From there we developed the storyboard, interview questions and talent schedule. Shooting took place over a further two week period and included of b-roll footage of the property including immaculately preserved historical sections of the college. We set up a black out studio in a music room that was used to conduct all of the interview seen in the video. Referenced footage was displayed behind the interviewees in post production. Post video production spanned two weeks including motion graphics, colour grading and audio post.
